“For my Ela” is a delicate portrayal of fragility, set against the majestic backdrop of the Spiti valley in Himanchal Pradesh. Towering peaks and desolate valley roads, give way to icy-blue rivers and mountain lakes. Within this unforgiving landscape – the film weaves through locations where human activity persists – a boxing school for youngsters in a mountain town, ancient monasteries that dot the valleys, riverside respites and a far outpost of the ITBP – all with a common thread.
