Thamayu Aada follows the Betta Kuruba community of Karnataka and their traditional dance, Alkae Aattaa. Once a vital part of their forest life and identity, the dance faded as the community moved away from their roots. The film captures their return to this lost rhythm, reflecting a change in direction as they move from leaving behind a way of life to rediscovering it. Through the voices of elders, the laughter of children, and the sound of Alkae sticks, Thamayu Aada celebrates revival, belonging, and the enduring strength of cultural memory.
