Mr. Rupjyoti Borthakur directed independently plenty of Assamese T.V. serials, Teleplays & documentaries namely as well. He worked as Chief Assistant Director in Assamese feature film namely "SEUJI DHARANI DHUNIA"(2000). He also worked as Program Producer and Program Head in three Assamese satellite News Channel "Ishan News" , "News Time Assam" and "Assam Talks" respectively. Presently he is a free lancer film activist and a social activist for various causes in society. He is standing firmly for the rights of LGBTQIA community in Assam. "SATYA THE TRUTH" is his 1st Directorial Debut in feature film which deals with LGBTQIA community.
