Synopsis

With excellent natural Harbor and a port ,Bombay…ie Mumbai gave rise to major sea trade. As the traders gravitated here, the economic revolution took place .The manpower needed by it was provided by the places around Mumbai and other states. All those who come to Mumbai for a livelihood from all over settled here but mostly in the slums . The 1896 plague pandemic created havoc .The trade world and the ruling British got wake up call .
