Film Director Vinosha was born in Kurunegala in the Northwest of Sri Lanka. She started her career in TV, working for the State Broadcaster ‘Rupavahini’. She was nominated for best children’s drama in 2019 at the Raigam Tele Awards Sri Lanka for Directing and Script writing the “Color of Friendship”. She wrote and Directed a 10- episode tele drama called Sihinya Obeymai (the dream is yours) for a nonprofit, Her debut feature film is “Hello from the other side”. In addition she was the screenwriter for the movie. Vinosha is the 9th female Director in the male dominated feature movie industry in Sri Lanka since the country’s independence 76 years ago.
