.Break or Make is a short film scripted, directed, acted, shot, and edited by Smita Nooreen Khan. The story follows Riya, a 40-year-old woman struggling with self-doubt and negative thinking. Seeing her friend Simmi succeed makes Riya reflect on her own life and desire change. However, her inner fears hold her back. In the night, she dreams of being trapped in a violent earthquake—a powerful symbol of her emotional turmoil. In this dream, her negative thoughts take shape and try to stop her from escaping. Riya fights back, and when she wakes up, she feels transformed. She realizes that real change begins within. The film explores how our mindset has the power to either break us or make us.
