Gilbert BALUFU is a renowned film director from democratic Congo. In 1992, he and his older brother, Balufu Bakupa-Kanyinda, founded the Compagnie de l'Audiovisuel et de la Communication (Audiovisual and Communication Company). In 2015, he directed his first documentary film, "Congo! The Silence of Forgotten Crimes." This film was selected for two festivals and sparked considerable debate. It was also entered in several other festivals in Africa, Europe, the USA, and Canada and set a new bench mark in this country.
