In a fast-changing city where trees disappear beneath concrete, seven-year-old Piklu grows up lonely with his busy single mother and an indifferent governess. Longing for companionship, he finds comfort in the shadow of a tree that falls across his bed, transforming it into an imaginary friend who quietly shares his joys and sorrows. When the tree is cut down for new construction, Piklu's emotional world shatters, and his silent grief goes unnoticed by the adults around him. Only later does the governess recognize his loss and bring him a small sapling, offering hope and healing. A silent musical narrative with no subtitles, Shadows of Love explores childhood loneliness, urbanization, empathy, and the restorative power of nature.
