Dipanita acharya is a prolific artist in folk music arena. She sings different regional folk songs, specially from Bengal, Assam, Rajasthan and Gujarat. She sings the traditional folk songs. She imbibed the rustic singing style since her childhood in association with the group of Monosha Mongol of her family and later from her gurus.There are lots of folk formats from all these states , and its not possible to sing in a life time or feel them in one life time , so she sings very few formats from all these states, like Bengal - Murshidi, Marifati, of ''Podokortas'' like (Lalon Shah, Hason Raja, Shah Abdul Karim, Radharomon,Idam Shah, Shitalong Fakir, Bhoba Pagla etc) Jhumur, Dokhin bhatiyali,Chotka,Bhawaiya; Assam-Bihu, kamrupi lokogaan,Goalparia lokogaan; Rajasthan - kalbelia and Rajasthani tradiitonal folk songs; Gujarat - Raas Garba, Sanedo.
