Ms. Rita Jhawar is an accomplished entrepreneur and builder with a deep passion for art, music, and cinema. A patron of creative excellence, she appreciates artistic expression in all its forms—from evocative paintings to masterfully crafted films.

Her journey in filmmaking began with the production of award-winning short films before she successfully transitioned into feature films. As a producer, she has backed several acclaimed projects, including the award-winning feature Umformung: The Transformation and the commercially successful Bengali film 1+1 = 3. Her feature film Paradico was showcased at the Cannes Film Festival and went on to receive numerous awards at international film festivals worldwide.

She further expanded her international footprint by producing Lust, an Indo- American-French co-production that premiered at the Cannes Film Festival. Her critically acclaimed feature Glorious Dead was screened at dozens of international film festivals, earning widespread recognition and multiple awards.

Beyond production, Ms. Jhawar has also demonstrated her versatility as an actress, playing the lead role in Notes to a Lover from Jenny Adam and Her Beautiful Family, which received rave reviews on the international film festival circuit.

Most recently, she produced the Indo-Italian feature film Grassan. She is currently developing her next feature film, continuing her commitment to meaningful, globally relevant cinema.
