Armenian composer Tigran Hamasyan visits the Matenadaran manuscript archive in Yerevan, exploring Armenia’s history and uncovering music’s connection to storytelling through ancient hymns and bird imagery. Inspired by these illustrations, he composes "Areg and Manushak," performed on a mountain-top piano, flown in by helicopter, for a live audience. This documentary introduces the transmedia project The Bird of a Thousand Voices, inspired by the folktale Hazaran Blbul, about a mythical bird that restores harmony.
