The film is a composition of gazes (miradas) on people and places protagonists of a long activity of entertainment, study and research: sixteen editions of Mare e Miniere, an itinerant festival of Singing, Music and Folk Dance, with its Summer Seminars, held every year in the south of Sardinia, from spring to autumn. A picture of Mediterranean folk music portrayed from within, a diary tale of artistic expressions and formative experiences of a heterogeneous set of people of all ages and backgrounds, from all over the world: faces, languages, voices, sounds and styles that intertwine and merge in a unique cultural journey, experienced as a unique opportunity for participation, unity, growth, identity and freedom.
