Cristina, a young dancer from Spain, moves to San Francisco to join a prestigious dance company while grieving the death of her mother. The city and the company feel cold and competitive, and her challenges at home and in rehearsal intensify. With little emotional support from her distant father, Cristina finds comfort only in fellow dancer Melanie and the vivid memories of her mother. It's these memories that give her the strength to face her struggles and ultimately decide whether to stay and pursue her dream or walk away.
