MEXICO CITY VOLUME I: A VISUAL TRIBUTE TO THE CITY OF PALACES
Mexico City is a vibrant metropolis with a history dating back to 1325, when the Mexicas founded a powerful empire on the central islet of Lake Texcoco. In honor of this majestic capital, architect Iván Usella presents "Mexico City Volume I", a documentary that captures the essence, art, and culture of one of the world's most iconic cities.
This cinematographic project is an invitation to explore and discover the city through its unique natural and cosmopolitan landscapes. As architect Usella states: "The history of this city is told in decades, eras that traverse cultures. Viewers will embark on a journey from the remnants of its origins to the contemporary spaces that have shaped its identity."
The documentary features the outstanding participation of award-winning Venezuelan filmmaker Heitters Diaz, who served as director of photography and editor, bringing his expertise and visual sensitivity to capture the grandeur of Mexico City on screen.
The project continues to evolve, and "Mexico City Volume II" will soon premiere, aiming to develop a more ambitious documentary series that further showcases the majesty of the so-called City of Palaces. The international community is invited to watch and share this documentary, as well as to join this initiative to continue creating and promoting the beauty and legacy of this great metropolis.
