Toilet is an intimate short film that explores the fragile interior world of Vetri, an IT professional struggling with obsessive-compulsive disorder. His carefully ordered life begins to collapse when he is forced to confront the very realities of sanitation that he fears most. In the smallest of acts, when he retrieves a fallen phone from contaminated water, emerges a haunting mirror to privilege and a quiet confrontation with human dignity. The film does not dramatize his condition but reflects instead on the deeper irony: what is unbearable for one individual becomes the daily survival of another.

The project is produced by Balaji Sakthivel, one of the most respected voices in Tamil cinema. His film Kaadhal won the National Award for Best Feature Film in Tamil and is remembered as a landmark in contemporary Indian filmmaking. Vazhakku Enn 18/9, another of his acclaimed works, also received the National Award and widespread international recognition. Known for his uncompromising realism and deep humanism, Balaji Sakthivel’s presence as producer grounds Toilet in the same spirit of sincerity and courage.
