Directed by acclaimed Bharatanatyam artist, cultural leader, and award-winning filmmaker Indrani Davaluri, who also plays the lead role, the film has garnered international recognition across festivals for its emotional depth, artistic integrity, and powerful portrayal of womanhood. Its selection at IWFF marks another significant milestone, underscoring its strong female-driven vision and growing global impact.
The festival will take place on 7 March 2026 at Hotel Best Western® Ashoka, Hyderabad, Telangana, India.
Andhela Ravamidhi is a deeply introspective drama exploring identity, love, ambition, silence, and the quiet rebellions that shape a woman’s inner world. Set against the backdrop of cultural expectations and personal longing, the film follows a protagonist navigating emotional crossroads balancing tradition and autonomy, duty and desire, vulnerability and strength. Through dance and cultural storytelling, it offers a universal reflection on resilience and self-discovery, proving that regional cinema can reach global platforms without compromising authenticity.
