JOURNEY OF FILM IN ENGLISH

The story of film , started as small idea, when I was attending a technical workshop on hacking in my college. I understood the technicality of basic hacking. And then when I read an article online regarding websites, and money laundering, it sort of startled me. So combining 2 pieces of information which excited me , I decided to write the story. After writing the script, I narrated it to dear friend, DOP riyaz, who also liked it. Despite being a cinematographer in 2 major Tamil films, then he humbly accepted to shoot the film.

My direction department including co director, and assistant directors are my dear friends and they all stood like a pillar of support throughout the film. When it came to casting, as I was a student in film making school, I had already selected few faces in my mind- Pooja, navyashree, master anand and Amit. But the hard part was for looking for anti protagonist, I took literally more than a month searching for the right face. And one fine day DOP suggested Tarak ponnappa- actor in KGF, Devara, and Pushpa2. After seeing his face, I could not think of any other face. So I went up to him and requested, just to try my luck.

Narrated the story and to my surprise, he accepted to act in short film, despite being a major actor. I think he acted to support a female director and the story. So then the journey began from shoot to post production. I was lucky to find the right technitians at the right time - including music director, editor, DOP, DI and Vfx. Coordinating from Bangalore to works happened in Chennai, Tamil Nadu was another challenge. But when passion calls all challenges blur. So film got completed in may 2025. And so far it has won 5 awards- for New and different concept (Avala Hejje Film Festival –bangalore), Best editor (hasananamba Film Festival – Hassan), best Indian short film (Kollywood International Film Festival), and Most promising debut film maker (Film Frenzy Indie film festival, Kolkata) , and award yet to be announced in Cinematic Short Film Festival , Pollachi. It has also been selected in Goa international film festival, West Bengal international film festival and Bombay international film festival – we are awaiting results.
