THE INVISIBLE DIRT
A Journey of Passion, Simplicity and Purpose in Filmmaking
The Invisible Dirt is a thought-provoking short documentary that explores the hidden struggles of Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD), childhood trauma, and the lasting influence of unresolved emotional experiences on human behaviour.
What makes this film particularly special is not merely its subject, but the extraordinary simplicity with which it was created.
Marking our first-ever venture into documentary filmmaking, The Invisible Dirt was an experiment in authentic storytelling. No makeup, no elaborate sets, no rehearsals, no extra props, and none of the usual filmmaking paraphernalia. We relied entirely on natural performances, genuine emotions, creative instincts, and a shared commitment to telling a meaningful story.
The filmmaking journey was both challenging and deeply rewarding. Working without conventional preparation demanded spontaneity, sensitivity, and full involvement from every team member. What began as a modest creative initiative evolved into a powerful cinematic expression of an often-misunderstood mental health condition.
The film highlights how OCD can manifest through persistent intrusive thoughts, anxiety, and repetitive behaviours. It also explores how traumatic childhood experiences may contribute to emotional distress and influence psychological patterns later in life.
Our intention with this documentary is to raise awareness, foster compassion, and spark meaningful conversations about mental health.
