I am incredibly happy to have my first short film, Out of Ink, selected for screening at the Delhi International Short Film Festival. Having spent so much time and effort bringing this film to life, it feels wonderful to see it find a place at a festival, and I am genuinely excited to be a part of it.

Making Out of Ink has been a learning experience in every sense. What started as an idea gradually became a screenplay, a team, a shoot and eventually a film I could share with an audience. The process was far from easy. Working with a limited budget and tight schedules meant we often had to figure things out as we went along. The circumstances of the shoot were challenging, and there were moments when simply getting everything done felt like an achievement in itself.

What made the experience special, however, was the people who stood by the project. I was fortunate to have a crew that was willing to go beyond their designated roles, with even my actors stepping in to help with the work behind the camera. The person in charge of our shooting location was equally supportive and helped us wherever possible. Everyone contributed in their own way, and I don't think I could have asked for a better reminder of what filmmaking can be. Beyond the equipment, the money or even the film itself, it is the people who come together to make it that stay with you.

My interest in filmmaking has always come from a desire to experiment with different genres and visual styles while exploring the incredible cultural and visual richness of India. With Out of Ink, I feel I have taken my first real step towards the kind of filmmaker I want to become, and I look forward to discovering where that journey takes me.

I am excited to meet other filmmakers at the festival, learn from their work and explore opportunities to bring more stories to the screen, including a new feature-film project I hope to develop in the future.
