Every meaningful film begins with a question. For CONDUMB, that question was simple yet unsettling: How can a single act of negligence change someone’s life forever? Inspired by real-world civic issues, the film explores the often-overlooked consequences of irresponsible condom disposal and its impact on sanitation workers, children, and society at large. Rather than relying on sensationalism, we chose to tell this story through an emotional, character-driven narrative that encourages empathy, awareness, and responsibility.

The journey of making CONDUMB was built on a shared commitment to authentic storytelling. Director Kaushik Thakkar envisioned a film that would spark conversations without compromising its cinematic integrity. Writer Chirag Vora crafted a screenplay that balanced social relevance with emotional depth, while producers Kaushik Thakkar and Janvi Doshi brought together a dedicated team that believed in the power of purposeful cinema.

Our exceptional cast, led by veteran actor Jayati Bhatia, embraced the emotional complexity of the narrative with remarkable sincerity. Cinematographer Ashok Salian captured the realism of everyday urban life through a restrained visual language, allowing the performances and emotions to remain at the forefront. Editor Shadab Khan carefully shaped the narrative, ensuring that every frame contributed to the film’s emotional rhythm and impact.

Creating CONDUMB required extensive research, collaborative discussions, and a collective willingness to address a subject that is rarely spoken about in mainstream cinema. Every department contributed with sensitivity and conviction, transforming a difficult topic into an engaging cinematic experience.
