What do the directors have to say about this film?
Video Call Kijiye Naa is a hard-hitting short film that explores the dark side of the digital age. The story follows a group of young kids who exploit the openness of social media. They engage with strangers online, lure them into intimate video calls, and then resort to blackmail. The film shines a light on cybercrime, manipulation, and the dangers lurking behind virtual screens.
Shot in just two days, this film’s journey was nothing short of magical. The real challenge began in post-production, which spanned three months and was only possible with the support of our close-knit network—friends from both within and outside the film industry.
The heart of the film was brought alive by our brilliant cinematographer, Mr. Satish Sista, whose visuals elevated the narrative. The soulful BGM and impactful title track by Music Director Akash Parwa and Singer Aditi Parwa added emotional depth and tension to the storytelling.
We are grateful to Eye Focus, our post-production team, who helped turn our dream into reality. A special mention goes to Casting Director Amol SRK, without whom this film would not have even taken off.
We had a mix of professional actors and first-timers, bringing raw authenticity to each character. Gini Bedi, who played a role in the film and also handled marketing, was a pillar of strength throughout.
