About CINEMA and life... Sadyq IDRISOV directed by ILIYAS DAUDI

The documentary «About cinema and life… Sadyq Idrisov» became the third novel of the large-scale project «About cinema and life ... ». It was created under the leadership of Vladimir Malyshev, rector of the All-Russian State University of Cinematography (VGIK). The director, the author of the idea and a graduate student at VGIK was Iliyas Daudi. The premiere was timed to coincide with the Year of Unity of the Peoples of Russia.

The hero of the film is Sadyq Idrisov, a veteran of the Afghan war from Dagestan. He lost his arm in battle, after which he mastered the profession of a social educator and received the title of Honored Mentor of the Youth of the Republic of Dagestan.

Having created his own family and raising his children and grandchildren, he is at the same time engaged in a very important task - he helps homeless or street children.

The choice fell on him not by chance: his fate symbolizes perseverance, overcoming and selfless service to the Fatherland.

The fact that he lives in Dagestan was another incentive for making the film. It is a republic with wonderful nature, where mountains are adjacent to the warm sea. The rich culture and history of the peoples inhabiting it is also impressive.

The viewer can not only get to know the story of the main character, but also plunge into the world of Dagestan culture, get to know its history better by taking a tour of the halls of the National Museum of Dagestan.

The staff of the Dagestan State Museum and the Dagestan State Song and Dance Ensemble helped a lot.

The leadership of the republic warmly welcomed the film crew and provided great assistance.
