Hacia lo Invisible directed by Luz Maria Mansilla Perez
Hacia lo Invisible (Toward the Invisible) – An Inner Journey Toward the Light
“Hacia lo Invisible” was born from a deeply intimate concern: to explore the inner journey of an ordinary human being who, through an encounter with the image of the Buddha, begins a path toward the transcendental. The film follows a man immersed in a world of shadows who, through art — specifically sculpture — initiates a process of transformation that gradually leads him toward the light.
The work addresses universal themes such as the search for the meaning of life and the need for spiritual guidance. In this case, the figure of the Buddha represents a bridge toward a deeper dimension of existence: that world we rarely manage to perceive, yet which constitutes an essential reality. Rather than narrating external events, the film proposes a sensory and emotional experience that invites viewers to look within themselves and recognize their own processes of change, their dark areas, and their luminous potential.
The project was conceived from an auteur perspective, with special attention to visual atmosphere and symbolic language. The cinematography emphasizes the contrast between shadow and light as a metaphor for the protagonist’s inner journey, while the direction embraces contemplative cinema, privileging silence, slow rhythm, and sensory experience over conventional narrative action.
The team is composed primarily of emerging professionals committed to reflective, aesthetic, and artistically coherent filmmaking. Every narrative decision responds to a clear poetic intention. “Hacia lo Invisible” has been conceived as a transformative experience, both for those who created it and for those who contemplate it: a space for introspection, contemplation, and encounter.
