Rum & An: A Vision for Fresh and Unexplored Stories

At Rum & An, we believe that storytelling is an evolving art, shaped by the voices behind the camera as much as the ones in front of it. What started as a creative spark between music director Anirban Kashyap and writer-director-actor Rumana Molla during their collaboration on Minimum has now grown into a collective vision. Minimum, a deeply moving story of Fauzia and Laurie, directed by Rumana Molla and starring Naseeruddin Shah, Saba Azad, Geetanjali Kulkarni and Rumana herself, set the foundation of Rum&An. Pooja Gupte, the DOP of Minimum, has become a pillar of strength for Rum&An and has pushed the envelope with every song.

As we built this company, Jayaa Virlley, an actor with an impressive body of work, joined as a creative producer, learning the ropes from scratch and proving that passion and dedication can shape great cinema. What binds our team together is a shared love for filmmaking that breaks away from conventions and pushes creative boundaries.
