What did Mukul Kumar say about his film?
Mukul Kumar made the film “DARD APNO KA”, which focuses on the relationship between a family and the emotional suffering caused when a son rejects his elderly father. In the film, the elderly father, abandoned by his own family, lives as a beggar, wandering aimlessly in pain. Eventually, he seeks liberation from his suffering and wishes to be free from this world.
Following a divine wish after death, the soul of the elderly father is reborn in the form of a human spirit in the forest, where he pleads with the Forest Goddess for a cane stick (symbolizing nature’s blessings). The Forest Goddess, using her branches and leaves, reluctantly gives him a branch. However, the elderly soul's tears move her deeply, and she eventually grants him the cane stick. The elderly soul takes the stick and continues his journey.
Meanwhile, the son, filled with remorse and sorrow, chants the word "Om" to seek forgiveness from his father. According to ancient scientific principles, the vibration of the "Om" sound resonates through the universe, allowing the father’s soul to sense his son’s plea for forgiveness. Through the sound of "Om," the spiritual reunion of father and son takes place.
This film attempts to bring to life the significance of nature through an acting sequence and a song, emphasizing that the ultimate fulfillment of life lies in returning to the embrace of nature.
The cast and crew of this film were selected based on the characters of the screenplay, and the background music and VFX were created in Bangalore.
