Future Works: under the auteur project BESKORA

Ukrainian-born and currently based in Kraków, INES BESKO is an emerging filmmaker whose work focuses on psychological tension, the anatomy of silence, and the fragile border between identity and control. Her selected screenplay GOOD GIRL explores the emotional architecture of a woman shaped by years of coercive care, generational trauma, and the internalized voice that dictated who she was allowed to be.

GOOD GIRL follows Lauren, a young woman who escapes a psychiatric facility only to confront one defining night in a motel where her past—and the voice that shaped her—refuses to release its grip. The story examines dissociation, bodily memory, and the quiet terror of living inside an identity engineered by others. Instead of portraying recovery, BESKO focuses on the crucial moment before healing: the raw threshold where a woman faces the collapse of the “good girl” persona she was trained to perform.

As an auteur, BESKO builds her creative language through atmospheric minimalism, psychological realism, and emotionally charged visual storytelling. Her filmmaking path developed outside formal institutions—balancing full-time work while writing and shaping projects independently. This unconventional route formed her precise, disciplined voice and her commitment to exploring difficult emotional landscapes.

GOOD GIRL marks her debut on the international festival stage and acts as the conceptual foundation for her expanding creative identity under the project BESKORA, which will continue to explore themes of silence, control, separation, and rebirth.

For BESKO, cinema is not a place for explanation, but for immersion—an invitation for the audience to inhabit a character’s inner world rather than simply observe it.
