Echoes of Us directed by Joe Rajan

Echoes of Us, is a short narrative fiction film that highlights the global issue of emotional neglect towards women in relationships. This story begins where most love stories end, after death.
In the stillness of a London home, Arjun (Deepak Tijori), a 53-year-old widower, drifts through the hushed remains of a life once shared with his late wife, Kate (Iulia Vantur). Her absence reveals more than sorrow; it exposes a truth many women die with - that being present is not the same as being truly seen.
As Arjun processes his grief, voice memos left behind by Kate begin to speak through Alexa. These recordings confront Arjun with his ignorance that quietly marked their marriage. As the plot progresses, Kate’s voice memos begin to unveil hidden truths about their life together. She even responds to him through the device in real-time conversations. This leaves us and Arjun to question and confront his own reality. Is he finally listening, or is he slipping away into madness?
