Director’s Statement & Concept

At its core, 11:11 is a philosophical thriller driven by a simple, haunting truth: to gain what you desire, you must leave something behind. The narrative explores the weight of sacrifice and the hidden cost of human choice.

We use the physical act of crossing a road as a central visual metaphor. While seemingly ordinary, crossing a road represents a high-stakes transition—the exact boundary where an old life ends and an uncertain new path begins. 11:11 was conceived as a cinematic experience to remind audiences to reflect deeply on what they are chasing, and what they might lose along the way.

Our Filmmaking Journey

We made this project independently under our banner, Matsya Films. Instead of following standard commercial rules, our crew focused on creating a strong mood, beautiful camera work, and a powerful soundtrack to build suspense. Working with a small, passionate team meant turning our challenges into strengths. The shorter runtime helped us keep the story tight, tense, and focused.
