As an emerging filmmaker, The Chair holds a special place in Abhinav Anand heart. It’s a silent emotional short film that explores the relationship between a man and something as ordinary yet personal as a chair.

The story follows Sameer, a bachelor living alone, who buys a chair to fill the emotional emptiness of his life. What starts as a simple purchase soon turns into a reflection of his inner world—his joys, his habits, his routines, and eventually his heartbreak.

The film is deeply personal. Through this story, they wanted to capture how ordinary objects silently share our life’s journey, becoming part of our memories without us realizing it. When Sameer faces the devastating loss of his father, the emotional weight becomes too much—not just for him, but even for the chair that held him through everything. The Chair is his debut film as a director under their production company Capture Vision Productions.
